Castelli and Strava Team Up for Giro Challenge

By Soren Jensen · On May 1, 2013

Dolomiti

The Giro d’Italia is a race known for epic mountain battles on climbs like the Passo di Gavia and the Passo di Stelvio. To celebrate this iconic race and its always exciting fight for the Maglia Rosa, Castelli and Strava are challenging you to ride the combined distance of stages 10, 14, 15, 19 and 20 from this year’s race. These five stages, all major summit finishes, are where the eventual winner will undoubtably prove they have what it takes to bring home the Maglia Rosa.

Riders that successfully complete the Challenge will have the chance to take home an exclusive jersey produced by Castelli and only available for purchase by Challenge finishers. To join the challenge, visit Strava’s website for details.

Instagram Challenge

In addition to the Strava challenge, Castelli will also be hosting a photo contest on Instagram through the duration of the Giro. Show off your favorite rides, a favorite view, or where you will watch the Giro. Post and Tag your photos to have a chance to win.

Five winners will receive a Castelli Climbers Jersey, and five more will receive Castelli Socks.

How to enter:

Make sure you are following @CastelliCycling then use the hashtag #BattagliainMontagna so we can see your photos. Enter as often and as many times as you like. Winners will be chosen by number of likes, great comments and maybe by a Podium Girl in Italy. Mostly it will be what we like and what our followers like. So get to it!

To keep up with Castelli’s coverage of the Giro, make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The hashtag is very long, can you not have a shorter one. I’ll be standing by the side of the road typing all day.

@Paddy You can configure keyboard shortcuts. For example on my iPhone I type #BM becomes #BattagliainMontagna. You can do the same with an Android. Ride Safe!

Paddy, also when you use Instagram it remembers hash tags, so you only need to type it once.

    Hi,
Is the jersey similar to one of the current Castelli range in terms of fabric and features apart from the design?
    Cheers

Completed the challenge with room to spare! Coincidentally a friend lent me his Castelli jersey which was one size too large just yesterday (not sure if I could have taken it off if it fit perfectly!), even still now I can appreciate the fit and feel of Castelli and hope I will be able to afford this fine example of cycling gear :)

However, the size M that I’ve ordered is unfortunately too small. Can I change it for a size L via return shipping ? Please send me instructions to do so.

Not so long ago, I thought that being single was my credo. I always dreamed of a foreign wife, but for me it was a problem, because it is very difficult to find a high-quality website for legit mail order bride. How good that my friend recommended me to this resource, where I was able to find a foreign wife and next week she will come to me! If you, too, like Me, have always wanted a wife from another country, then you can do it too!

Participants who ride 253 minutes and complete the challenge can enter into a draw to win one of two slots for a Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Experience in December. The winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the challenge from users completing the challenge and are subscribers of the Castelli newsletter. Donkey Kong
