Zabriskie powers to Romandie TT with BodyPaint SpeedSuit

By Soren Jensen · On April 30, 2011

DZMultiple U.S. time trial champion David Zabriskie once again bested the field in the race against the clock, winning the Tour of Romandie stage 4 time trial. And a strong overall performance from the Garmin-Cervélo Team with four in the top 20, and Andrew Talansky taking the best young rider jersey from teammate Peter Stetina.

Creating clothing for athletes at the highest level of the sport is the most demanding proving ground for Castelli. David Zabriskie was not only reaping the benefits of his aero P4 bike and components, the Castelli BodyPaint TT SpeedSuit gave him an extra aero advantage over the 20.1km.

bpBodyPaint SpeedSuit: We’ve applied everything we know to make cyclists cut faster through the wind. The speed suit is made using Body Paint technology: a single piece of fabric to eliminate seams and cover the riders body as if it was painted on.

The cut is very short in the front so that when the rider is in the riding position the suit lays perfectly flat on the front. Velocity® fabric featuring a very smooth surface for maximum aerodynamics. Giro++ flat elastic on leg opening and collar means that everything lays very flat and air flow transitions smoothly from skin to fabric. Longer legs for a smoother air flow around the legs. An aerodynamic flap to cover the riders race number, while letting the air flow more smoothly over the back.

YOU CAN PROFIT FROM THE SAME AERO ADVANTAGE AS ZABRISKIE.
The BodyPaint SpeedSuit is available or can be ordered from any Castelli dealer in colors: Black and Red in sizes: Small to 3XL

dz2Engineering a BodyPaint speed suit with so few seams was not easy. You better check the brakes on your TT bike before putting this one on.

Hi just completed my first event in a bodypaint skinsuit and the fit and comfort was superb just like my original team issue cevelo one that I got a number of months ago. I love the feeling, its like a second skin, the air flow transitions from the skin to fabric is so smooth.
