Fabrizio Macchi2012 Para-Cycling Track World Championships is well underway in Los Angeles. Fabrizio Macchi is an athlete who leaves nothing to chance. Preparing for his main goal of the season, the Paralympic Games in London, Macchi added another World Championship medal to his plentiful collection by taking bronze in the men’s C2 3km pursuit at the Track World Championship in Los Angeles (9-12 February). Its not only the UCI WorldTour riders that are searching for an innovative edge when pushing for the line of glory. Former Indianapolis 500 and Formula One driver Alex Zanardi took up competition in handbiking after he suffered a violent accident at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz, Germany, race track in 2001 that resulted in the amputation of his legs. Boys in Black

We finally found the perfect day to really test the Gabba WS Jersey in ridiculous conditions. Andrew Reed was over from the States for our Castelli global creative conference and he really wanted to ride the Mortirolo. The forecast was for driving rain, but we couldn’t really let that stop us, could we?

Sure enough, the climb was tough but the fun came along when the skies just opened up on us about 2km from the top. Fortunately we had our Gabba jackets that use a new 4-way stretch Windstopper to provide stretchy breathable protection from wind and cold, but as a short sleeve cut that prevents heat build-up when riding hard.
