Another fantastic day for the Garmin-Cervelo. Tyler Farrar took the team another step up with yesterdays’s stage win after the team time trial win on Sunday. Garmin-Cervélo played the waiting game and once HTC had lead the race to the final act the Argyle’s with the maillot jaune took over piloting their man Farrar to a perfect stage victory on the 4th of July.
Garmin-Cervélo could hardly have written a better script to the opening days of the Tour de France. With Thor Hushovd in yellow thanks to the victory on Sunday’s team time trial, the Norwegian’s sprinter made the lead-out of Tyler Farrar to take his first TdF stage win.
