Millar powers to victory with new aero SpeedSuit

By Soren Jensen · On May 30, 2011

David MillarDavid Millar swept to victory on the 26km time trial course in Milan in 30 minutes, 13 seconds (51.627kph) to claim his first individual stage win at the Italian tour.

If you were fast, you might have noticed some of the new aero details of the BodyPaint SpeedSuit that Millar was wearing yesterday.

Creating clothing for athletes at the highest level of the sport is the most demanding proving ground for Castelli. Millar was not only reaping the benefits of his aero P4 bike and components; he has been the only rider in the Giro wearing a new prototype of the BodyPaint SpeedSuit during the TT stages.

As part of a joint research and development program working with Robby Ketchell, the Garmin-Cervélo team’s sport science director, focused on making the athletes as fast as possible in every racing condition, the BodyPaint SpeedSuit has been going through a lot of new updates, especially in terms of the fit and new ’slippery’ aero fabrics

The BodyPaint SpeedSuit has thus far only been available for the speed specialist, Millar. With his and the team’s help, it was actually possible to make the fastest SpeedSuit in the pro peloton even faster.

All nine riders of the Garmin-Cervélo team will debut the new BodyPaint SpeedSuit in the team time trial of the Tour de France in Les Essarts on July 3rd.

YOU CAN PROFIT FROM THE SAME AERO ADVANTAGE AS TEAM GARMIN-CERVELO.
The 2011 BodyPaint SpeedSuit is available or can be ordered from any Castelli dealer in colors: Black and Red in sizes: Small to 3XL, click here >>
