Castelli 2009 Ad campaign.

Dramatic, emotional, aspirational are just a few words that describe the concept of the 2009 Castelli ad campaign. Black and white imagery that feel natural, journalistic with an eye towards art. Authenticity is everything!

The FREE ad-page was based around the FREE Bibshorts with the historical pavé section ’Koppenberg’ from the Tour of Flanders.

Stelvio pass, SUPERLEGGERA VANTAGE JERSEY
The Stelvio ad will make you want to go lightweight. On the image of the ad page you see some of the 48 hairpin turns near the top of the northern ramp of the Stelvio Pass (2770 m, 9088 ft.) Stelvio is the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps, and the second highest in the Alps, slightly below the Col de l’Iseran.The Giro d’Italia crossed the Stelvio pass for the first time in 1953, when Coppi beat Koblet.

Tour de France champion Carlos Sastre, former Green Jersey Thor Hushovd and Olympic time trial champion Kirsten Armstrong were amongst the men and women featured at the official launch of the new Cervélo TestTeam along Portugal’s Algarve coast on January 18th. A total of 25 men and 12 women make up the 2009 squads, which have the aim of targeting the biggest races in the sport.

The team is committed to clean racing and specifically searched out riders who would live by a strong ethical code. The team will lean heavily on the expanding biological passport program, but also closely monitor riders for any signs of cheating.

The team queried riders and staff to create its foundation of values. Four words are written along the leg of their jersey uniforms - innovate, sacrifice, unite and succeed - with a fifth, honesty, up along the collar.
